How would managers purchase and delegate day passes?
Situation
In 2020, the office changed drastically. Companies needed to offer their employees flexibility while staying within budget. This change in work culture meant Industrious needed to adapt our business too. So we had to redesign our member portal to give businesses a flexible way to manage their office usage before we could start on our mobile app. I led the redesign of the Member Portal, a web dashboard that became the interface between office managers, their employees, and our workspaces.
Challenge
To allow businesses flexibility, we created a new kind of membership based on Day Passes. But how would managers be able to purchase and delegate day passes?
Reflection
The result was a member portal tailored to provide managers with a balance of flexibility, clarity, and function. Designing a tool for a changing business while balancing efficiency for users wasn't easy. Every detail demanded cross-collaboration across our teams. In the end, we were happy to see an increase in customer retention.
